Steamboat Springs is a small town with endless adventures. In winter, that means skiing at Steamboat Resort or taking a few turns at historic Howelsen Hill, North America's oldest continuously operating ski area. Everyone loves to visit Strawberry Park Hot Springs (4WD recommended!) and the local non-profit Old Town Hot Springs. Summer days are spent hiking, floating the Yampa River, mountain biking, fly fishing, and running the Yampa trail. This town is magical. Rumour has it, if you drink the water you’ll get the “Yampa Valley Curse” and forever be destined to return!

Whether it's a massage after a day on the mountain, a facial to restore dry or sensitive skin, a salt room session to help with allergies, or simply an afternoon dedicated to doing nothing productive— which we believe is the most productive thing you can actually do—you’ll find space for it here at Waterside. Many of our guests share that a spa day isn't a break from the vacation—it can end up becoming one of the best parts of it.
While Steamboat is best known for skiing, places like Waterside provide opportunities to slow down, replenish, and spend quality time either with your loved ones or enjoying much needed alone time. We love celebrating weddings, anniversaries, girls trips, birthdays, and family vacations. From our couples massages, or the Spaaah for Two Package that you can share with anyone, we’ve got a little something for everyone.
Bringing kiddos along? We’ve got something for the whole family. Kids 4+ are welcome to enjoy hair and nail services and children 12+ can enjoy massage and facials as long as parent or guardian stays onsite for the duration of their service.. And, children 12 and under are always free in the salt room with an adult admission.

Founded by owner Lexi Machiela, Waterside Day Spa grew from a lifelong passion for the wellness industry and a belief that self-care should feel welcoming, personal, and deeply connected to the community. The experience at Waterside begins the moment you park on the Yampa Rive Core Trail. You’ll be greeted by one of our skilled Coordinators, in our reception area that’s designed to feel like an upscale, botanical escape. Whimsical decor featuring wallpaper with florals, organic patterns, natural elements, and deep navy tones are intentionally designed to feel memorable and upscale.
Our providers will scoop you up for your services at the scheduled start time, either in the reception area, dressing room, or salt room and deliver expertly crafted treatments, using high quality botanically based products!Linger a little longer and sip a hot or cold beverage in our salt room. It’s really the few moments of stillness before or after a service that feel so restorative and impactful.
