Understanding Service Contraindications for Your Safety
Contraindications are conditions or circumstances that prevent us from being able to provide a specific service or treatment. If a client has a contraindication to a particular service, we will act in our client's best interest and safety and may refuse treatment.
Here’s a list of the most common contraindications with explanations - if you have any of these and are unsure if you should receive services, please give us a call and consult with your medical professional.
- Active Cold Sores - We cannot under any circumstances perform facials or waxing until cold sores are fully healed and scarred over.
- Pregnancy in the First Trimester - Massage during the first trimester is contraindicated. But please do join us as soon as you hit that 14 week mark and are in the second or third trimesters. We would love to have you join us then.
- Infectious Diseases - Please do not come into our business if you are presenting any types of cold or flu symptoms. Our livelihood relies on our health and working with the public so if you aren’t feeling well or may be sick, please reschedule your appointment. If you are under treatment from a physician for any ailments, conditions, cancers, or diseases, please consult with your physician first before schedule your appointments.
